Hire an electric van for free in Park Royal

OPDC and the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham have partnered with the Park Royal Business Group and Zipcar to offer businesses in Park Royal the opportunity to hire an electric van for free.
Once signed up and approved for the scheme, businesses can book the van using the free Zipcar app, access and drive it free of charge for business trips of up to 30 miles per trip. Businesses can hire the vans entirely free of charge until the end of March 2023.
Interested businesses must sign up via the Zipcar app here and are then free to use the van for as long as they need it.
The initiative will help reduce traffic, congestion and air pollution levels in the borough and support local businesses to thrive by helping them to operate more efficiently and sustainably.
Thanks to the support of OPDC and Hammersmith and Fulham Council, I am delighted that PRBG is able to offer businesses the use of three electric vans entirely free of charge. The vans are located in three different Park Royal locations, so there is bound to be a van conveniently located near you.
Whether you have a petrol van already and are looking to make the switch, or don’t have a van at all and would like to try electric before taking the plunge, or maybe you just need a van for occasional jobs – this scheme should be of benefit to everyone.
This initiative offers businesses a fantastic opportunity to try out an electric van for free and experience the benefits it might provide for their business. Cleaner air in Park Royal is a shared commitment for OPDC, Hammersmith & Fulham Council and the PRBG, and I am pleased that OPDC has been able to support this innovative opportunity.
We love having the E-van here! It really is the best zippy van, super roomy and convenient for all the shows we do. Not only are we helping the environment, but it also gets us from A to B extremely quickly. We also love the rear parking screens for ease of reverse van parking. We’re determined to support Hammersmith & Fulham’s businesses by providing them with green, affordable options to deliver their goods; something which is all the more important during the Cost-of-Living crisis.
