OPDC launches the Creative Enterprise Zone - open call for ideas
Monday 17 October
Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) and Ealing Council are excited to launch the Open Call for Ideas for the Acton and Park Royal Creative Enterprise Zone (CEZ).
The aim of the Open Call for Ideas is to support the creative industry in the area and enable the wider community to access opportunities across the creative sector.
Developed in partnership with Ealing Council, over £100,000 of funding will be made
available to support the most creative and innovative ideas.
The CEZ funding could be used for a range of projects including training, upskilling, events, creative activity, promoting the industry, business support, creating new space or meeting particular challenges identified in the creative sector. The funding can be used to support a completely new idea or an expansion of an existing project.
The Open Call for Ideas is looking to support projects that can hit the ground running
and deliver immediate impact to the community – with successful projects expected to start in February 2023.
To apply for the fund, interested applicants need to a be public, private, or third-sector organisation or a formally registered corporate body who will work closely with the local community and businesses.

Acton and Park Royal are home to some of the capital’s most interesting and creative artists, makers and producers. As the Mayor’s development corporation for regenerating the area, we’re working to invest in and support local people and businesses. The Creative Enterprise Zone, Open Call for Ideas, will enable more people to access important funding to support the creative industries and we’re looking forward to supporting the innovative new ideas.
We are lucky to have a great amount of talent in the borough and I
was blown away by some of the creations we saw at the CEZ launch last month. We are looking to nurture this talent and give locals more opportunities by offering this funding in partnership with the OPDC. This is a really exciting opportunity to share ideas, grow a business and deliver new jobs.
The new Acton and Park Royal Creative Enterprise Zone provides a
fantastic opportunity to support and nurture the vast array of artists and creative businesses in this unique part of London.
The Park Royal Design District team are really excited by this Open Call for Ideas as it will support our growing community to work together in new ways; to collaborate and experiment; share spaces, skills and knowledge; as well as creating opportunities for new and emerging talent. We look forward to seeing what projects are initiated with
support from these new grants.
