Most Local Authorities have adopted a service standard of responding to enquiries within 10 working days. When it is not possible to respond fully within this timeframe they give reasons and a target response date. In recent months a number of my enquiries have taken two months or more to receive a response with no explanation for the delay. Will TfL follow the example of local authorities and adopt a 10 working days standard for response to enquiries?

The Walworth Road project is part funded by TfL and has received its approval. Many residents are extremely sceptical that the completed scheme will be an improvement. They are worried about the lack of barriers to prevent small children running into the road, that the reduction in the number of traffic lights will make it difficult to cross the road safely and that bus journey times will increase substantially due to the removal of the bus lanes. How will TfL access the success or failure of this scheme?

The Walworth Road project is part funded by TfL and has received its approval. I have received complaints from blind and partially sighted residents who tell me that in some areas where the road has been raised to the same level as the pavement, Southwark Council has not laid tactile paving to enable them to differentiate between the pavement and the road. What is TfL doing to ensure that this scheme does comply with DfT accessibility standards?

A number of my constitutions have raised concerns that the decision to give Crossrail the go ahead may have had an impact on the funding and expected implementation dates for South London transport projects such as the Cross River Tram, the second phase of the East London Line extension and the Croydon Tramlink extensions. Please could you detail what funding was allocated and the anticipated timescales for these two project before Crossrail was given the green light and now?

In March the Mayor gave me his in principle support for the creation of a new museum and visitor centre in the empty Brunel shaft above the East London Line. I understand that you have visited the site personally. With the East London Line due to close this month, could you now give me an update on the progress on this project?
