In the past you have made an issue of the huge difference between what London pays in tax to the government and what it gets back, estimated at around £20 billion by the London Chamber of Commerce. Tarique Gauffur has stated at the recent EDCST Committee meeting, that if in the event of foreign police, armed or otherwise being deployed on British Soil during the 2012 Games, he would not have guaranteed Command and Control over such officers without legislation.
