Development on back gardens

You have committed to writing a presumption against residential development on domestic gardens into the London Plan. In the interim, how do you plan to work with boroughs like Croydon, which is currently approving 10% of garden grab plans, to protect London's green spaces?

Thames and Raw Sewage

According to the Environment Agency, over 14 million cubic metres of raw sewage was pumped into the Thames over 6 months in 2007. That's enough to fill 5,770 Olympic sized swimming pools. Given that you did not make a single manifesto commitment regarding the environmental quality of the Thames, what plans do you have to clean up London's prestigious river?

Post Offices

In your manifesto you announced that you would amend the London Plan to recognise the need for a post office to be within walking distance of residents, and will continue to campaign against the proposed closures in all parts of London, from Wandsworth to Bexley. In light of the closure of 155 London post offices announced on 7 May, how do you intend to proceed with your campaign? Will you be continuing with the former Mayor's judicial review? What is the status of that judicial review?
