Kender Triangle

  • Reference: 2011/1765
  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 15 June 2011
A local Southwark residents' group from the vicinity of the Kender Triangle have contacted me about ongoing issues with the traffic flow in the area. Please could you update me on TfL's efforts to resolve these issues? I am told that problems are emanating from the traffic flow from the Old Kent Road and Pomeroy Street and that there are issues with the bus lane on Queen's Road.

78 bus route

  • Reference: 2011/1764
  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 15 June 2011
I fully welcome and support the new double decker operation on bus route 78. However, some local residents at the Nunhead end of the route have raised concerns about noise and vibration caused by larger buses in residential streets. Please could you update me on TfL's efforts to find a compromise which reduces any inconvenience to local residents while ensuring that bus passengers benefit from the higher capacity buses?

Tube performance

  • Reference: 2011/1763
  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 15 June 2011
The papers for the TfL Finance and Policy Committee held on 25th May indicate that TfL missed its targets for 'Scheduled Service Operated' on London Underground for the last quarter of last year and for the year in general. Will this be improved this year?

Dial a Ride performance last year

  • Reference: 2011/1762
  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 15 June 2011
The papers for the TfL Finance and Policy Committee held on 25th May indicate that TfL missed its targets for numbers of Dial-a-Ride trips and Dial-a-Ride customer satisfaction. I recently had another serious complaint - an elderly lady being left stranded without a return journey. When are you finally going to improve this service and stop TfL's constant denial of the serious problems with Dial a Ride?

McNulty report

  • Reference: 2011/1761
  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 15 June 2011
What do you anticipate the impact of the recommendations made by the McNulty report into the UK's rail service will be on London? How are TfL responding to these recommendations?

Crystal Palace station

  • Reference: 2011/1760
  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 15 June 2011
Please provide an update on TfL's efforts to secure funding for the much needed access works at Crystal Palace station?

Fare increases 2

  • Reference: 2011/1759
  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 15 June 2011
According to press reports TfL have said that fares being increased without any publicity is a routine occurrence. How many times has this been done so far this financial year? How many times in the last financial year?

Fare increases

  • Reference: 2011/1758
  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 15 June 2011
Recent media reports have indicated that TfL and National Rail companies had made increases to some fares - in this instance affecting those passengers who hold a discount railcard - without publicising these. Do you agree with this approach?

Waterloo International platforms

  • Reference: 2011/1757
  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 15 June 2011
I am glad that work is now underway towards bringing the mothballed International platforms at Waterloo back into use. What are TfL doing to support this move?
