In answer to my previous question number 1242/2011 you expressed your support for the Warm Homes Amendment, which included a call for the Government to develop a strategy for the Green Deal that would meet your targets on fuel poverty and carbon dioxide emissions. As they have so far refused to do this, will you personally lobby the Government on this matter?

  • Meeting date: 12 October 2011
In order to develop your work on the London implementation of the Green Deal, you will need clarity about the package of financial incentives, which I am told is currently missing. Will you therefore support calls for the Treasury to urgently publish this package, and lobby the Chancellor to this effect?

National Minimum Wage

  • Question by: Darren Johnson

Will you now lobby the Government to increase the minimum wage more quickly to narrow the gap, ensuring that no parent needs to work two jobs to make ends meet and that work really does pay for all Londoners?
