A constituent has reported that the North London Waste Authority is retreating from earlier pledges to shut down Edmonton Incinerator on health and environment grounds, and is instead looking at handing over the incinerator to a private company who will continue to operate it as a facility for burning commercial waste. Can you provide details of the proposal, and confirm whether plans to scrap the incinerator have been abandoned?
