  • Reference: 2016/4561
  • Question by: Caroline Russell
  • Meeting date: 14 December 2016
In your response to my question 2016/3640 you confirmed that the traffic modelling update from Transport for London (TfL) shows no change to the modelled journey times published in 2015. What impact will lengthening journey times through Wandsworth for pedestrians and cyclists, and reducing journey times for drivers, have on the relative attractiveness of a) walking, b) cycling, and c) driving in Wandsworth town centre?

Loss of cycling provision on Armoury Way, Wandsworth

  • Reference: 2016/4560
  • Question by: Caroline Russell
  • Meeting date: 14 December 2016
As part of its proposals to transform Wandsworth town centre, Transport for London (TfL) proposes to remove a low-quality but well-used shared use section of cycle route, located on the northern side of Armoury Way, which forms an integral part of the Wandle Trail. Given the resounding success of the north-south and east-west cycle superhighways in central London, will TfL now give consideration to installing a high-quality cycle route on Armoury Way?

  • Reference: 2016/4555
  • Question by: Caroline Russell
  • Meeting date: 14 December 2016

Confidential Incident Reporting and Analysis System (CIRAS) and coaches

  • Reference: 2016/4554
  • Question by: Caroline Russell
  • Meeting date: 14 December 2016
Thank you for your response to my question 2016/3650. In order to operate on London's roads, coach operators must apply for and receive a London Service Permit (LSP) from Transport for London (TfL). Why will TfL not make the coach operator's subscription to CIRAS a precondition of receiving an LSP?

Bus Operator of the Year award

  • Reference: 2016/4553
  • Question by: Caroline Russell
  • Meeting date: 14 December 2016
Transport for London (TfL) gave the 2015 Bus Operator of the Year award to Metroline, the bus operator with the highest number of fatalities resulting from collisions with its buses. Does this undermine TfL's public message about the importance it places on the operational safety performance of its contracted bus fleet?
