The City of London Corporation plans to fill a large Crossrail shaft in Finsbury Circus Gardens with concrete once works are complete, having rejected a proposal to install a 240-space automated cycle parking system there instead. There is a shortfall of 17,000 cycle parking spaces in the City of London according to their most recent cycle parking strategy.
