Small traders at the Elephant and Castle shopping centre are suffering as a result of plans to demolish and redevelop the centre, and have endured many years of uncertainty, planning blight and declining trade. The planning application recently submitted for the centre's redevelopment makes no provision for either retaining small traders or helping them relocate. This shopping centre is at the heart of one of your Opportunity Areas. Will you intervene on behalf of the small traders, many of whom come from black and minority ethnic backgrounds?

As they are currently exempt from pollution controls, will you advise people not to use wood burning stoves in future air pollution alerts?

According to King's College London research commissioned by Transport for London (TfL) and the GLA on 'understanding the health impacts of air pollution in London', the public health costs of particulate and nitrogen dioxide (N02) emissions, based on 2010 data, were estimated at up to £3.7 billion per annum. Do you have a more recent estimate of the public health costs of air pollution in London?

Private Hire Vehicles - Zero Emission Capable requirement

All new licensed taxis are required to be Zero Emission Capable (ZEC) from January 2018. Why is Transport for London (TfL) not applying the same licensing requirement to all new Private Hire Vehicles (PHVs) at the same time?

C11 bus route speeding

A constituent has contacted me having witnessed speeding by the C11 bus. In answer to my question 2016/4128 you said that Transport for London (TfL) is creating a speed compliance monitoring system using iBus data and that new buses from January 2017 will have intelligent speed adaptation (ISA) fitted. Do any C11 buses currently have ISA fitted, and could you share your iBus compliance data for this route for the past year?
