Feltham Masterplan (4)

  • Reference: 2018/0757
  • Question by: Tony Arbour
  • Meeting date: 22 March 2018
Does the Mayor share my concerns, as well as the concerns of local Travelling Showpeople and other local residents, about the way that the Feltham Masterplan was drawn up, without consultation with affected residents and apparently without the design team even visiting the affected sites? Will the Mayor insist that Hounslow Council properly respects all its residents and consults with them from the outset so that this no longer happens?

  • Question by: Tony Arbour

Hounslow Council's masterplan for Feltham threatens widespread use of compulsory purchase powers, displacing Travelling Showpeople from the homes in Station Estate Road that they and their families have owned for over 100 years. Will the Mayor or Deputy Mayor for Housing commit to visiting the Travelling Showpeople in Hounslow to discuss this matter and to take action to help resolve the issue?
