West Cromwell Road Trees

  • Reference: 2025/2166
  • Question by: Gareth Roberts
  • Meeting date: 19 June 2025
Thank you for your answer to MQ 2025/1509. Why was it really necessary to remove healthy trees? Growing new trees will take years, potentially decades, to bring back trees to a similar size. How are you assuring yourself that the amount of trees being removed and the amount of trees being replaced...

  • Question by: Gareth Roberts
  • Meeting date: 19 June 2025

Due to redevelopment, the police were evicted from the premises, but decided not to take up an offer of new premises there, instead opting to base themselves in Borough – over a 20 minute bus ride away. Can you confirm why the offer of new premises was not taken, as this is a serious blow for the local community? I also understand the local Southwark Councillors wrote to you about the issue in April. When can they...
