Just before 7am this morning there was an incident when a double-decker bus hit a building on Lavender Hill in Battersea.
The route 77 bus was travelling towards Waterloo when the crash happened. Police officers, the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service all responded.
The driver of the bus has been taken to hospital and passengers were treated at the scene. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say my thoughts go to everyone involved.
I want to thank the emergency services for their swift response and can assure Members that a full investigation is already underway.
