And they're off! Mayor opens the IAAF World Athletics Championships

Tonight Mayor Sadiq Khan joins top athletes and 59,000 excited fans at the opening of the IAAF World Athletics Championships - the biggest sporting event of the year.

This year's sold out event will see sporting legends Usain Bolt and Mo Farah take their last mark, but we could also see the next rising stars in athletics.

Tonight the Mayor will be: presenting medals to the GB 4x400 Women's Relay team, sharing the message that #LondonIsOpen to the world's best sport events and watching Olympian Mo Farah in his penultimate race, the 10,000m final.
