Old Oak Lane Towpath Access
We are bringing forward new access to the towpath on Old Oak Common Lane and improvements to the public space around it, to make it accessible and attractive for the community and canal users.

To prepare our plans we consulted closely with the community though an online public consultation and with OPDC’s Design Review Panel.
Construction will take place from 21 March 2022 and is due to be complete in August 2022.
The improvements we are bringing forward at the towpath include
- step free access onto the towpath for wheelchairs, pushchairs and bicycles
- improved greenery and planting for wildlife to thrive
- in keeping design with the character of the canal, using materials from local businesses
