OPDC’s Community Engagement Team is committed to ensuring that local communities get involved in the future plans for the area.

We want to give communities increased opportunities to hear about OPDC and find out what is happening in the Old Oak and Park Royal area. The broad outline of the team’s responsibilities include:

  • setting-up statutory and informal consultation and engagement opportunities
  • ensuring regular and effective communications to all community members, including seldom heard voices
  • establishing working groups and partnerships
  • attending local resident association meetings
  • responding to public enquiries
  • having a presence in the local community.

As well as supporting the wider OPDC team and working with the local community, businesses and voluntary sector, they are also working on plans to hold exciting local events throughout the year.

The team is also responsible for the 2024-2026 Community Engagement Strategy.

Our engagement team members are often out and about in the local area, and always happy to attend community meetings, or be available to answer questions or just have a chat. As we continue to plan, deliver, and consult on programmes and initiatives, we will be holding weekly drop-in surgeries in the local area so you can pop in and speak to us.

Members of the team will be available at Oaklands Rise Community Lab on a fortnightly basis. From the 7th February, we will be there every second Tuesday from 3pm-7pm for you to ask any questions, discuss queries in more detail, or hear what we are up to. There is no need to register or RSVP, please just drop-in when it suits you.

If you would like to find out more about consultations, local events or future plans, please contact us directly.

Quantitative Baseline Study

The Quantitative Baseline Study provides a broad and high-level understanding of the demographic, socio-economic and environmental characteristics of the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation community and surrounding communities.

Its will provide a baseline against which to measure the impacts of regeneration over time. We will use this data to inform a variety of forthcoming strategies, programmes, and projects.

Old Oak update

As part of preparations to deliver the Old Oak major regeneration project, OPDC is working to gain a more detailed understanding about the land rights, owners, and occupiers in the area, through a process known as land referencing.
