OPDC

The Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) is a Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC), established by the Mayor of London to bring forward the regeneration of the Old Oak Opportunity area, spanning land in three London boroughs – Ealing, Brent and Hammersmith & Fulham.

The Old Oak and Park Royal Opportunity Area is one of the most exciting and important regeneration opportunities in the UK – aiming to create an accessible, welcoming and well-connected urban district, centred around the new High Speed 2 station at Old Oak Common, with tens of thousands of new high-quality and affordable homes; good quality, well-paid jobs and shops; facilities, sustainable travel connections and public green space.

Corporate Operations Directorate

The Corporate Operations Directorate provides essential support services to enable the effective functioning of OPDC. This includes finance, HR, Governance, IT, legal and facilities management.

About the role

Join OPDC's Finance team and play a significant role in delivering high-quality financial reporting and financial stewardship across the organisation. The postholder will be heavily involved in the preparation of the annual Statement of Accounts, supporting all aspects of the year-end process, providing technical accounting expertise, and ensuring compliance with statutory accounting requirements.

The role will also lead on the consolidation of the OPDC Group accounts, including any subsidiary and SPV entities, ensuring that group reporting is robust, accurate and compliant with relevant accounting standards.

You will also support the ongoing development and scrutiny of OPDC's long-term delivery model, reviewing financial projections, cash flow forecasts and key assumptions to help assess the financial sustainability of the organisation's regeneration programme over the long term.

As part of a growing organisation, the role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of finance processes and reporting, support continuous improvement initiatives, and play an important part in developing junior members of the team through coaching, mentoring and technical guidance. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to combine strong financial reporting expertise with involvement in the long-term financial planning and delivery of one of Europe’s largest and most significant regeneration programmes.
