Key information

Time: 7:00pm to 8:30pm

On 27 February 2019, the Mayor of London will host a pan-London Citizenship Ceremony at London’s Southbank Centre. The ceremony will bring together Londoners to witness and celebrate the citizenship of new British citizens.

Social Integration is a top priority for the Mayor. In his Social Integration Strategy, he committed to encourage greater involvement in democracy among new citizens through citizenship ceremonies.

Although the GLA has hosted a mayoral citizenship ceremony for the past eight years, the scale of this ceremony will make it the largest citizenship ceremony we have ever held.
