Solana Imani Rowe
Description:
My Piece is about Solana Imani Rowe or better known as sza. It shows all the songs from her albums sos and ctrl. I think sza deserves a monument because her lyrics help to empower people by encouraging people to accept themselves and changing the beauty standards. Also she discusses topics such as anxiety and self doubt, helping to bring awareness and more positive views on these topics. Her work has also had record breaking success thanks to her musical innovation, blending r&b, neo-soul and alternative genres, and shaping modern R&B.

The Infinite Pumpkin
Description:
I chose Yayoi Kusama because of how much she has changed the art world and the way we understand mental health. When you step into one of her immersive spaces, it’s like entering a new reality where everything around you sparkles and seems endless. This is why I had spots around the top of my ceramic piece to represent the uniqueness in the lights (and equally ourselves). I made the ceramic pot using the slab method, and then stuck my 3D elements onto the pot. Then I glazed my pot with various colours before putting it in the kiln again.

Monument of Yara Shadid “a reflection of life”
Description:
My monument is about Yara Shadid who is a well-known actress, producer, and activist. I think that Yara Shadid deserves a monument because she inspires me and many others through her activism, education, and representation in social media. She encourages voting, supports education, and promotes diversity in Hollywood!I made this monument out of clay and added 3D elements to make it look more interesting. After the piece was fired I started to glaze it with many different colours to make it really come to life!

Our sculptures capture the moments that set us free - dancing, playing, gazing at the stars. Each piece is woven with wire and shaped by our dreams. They are reflections of our passions, identities and the beauty of being truly ourselves.
