The aim of the workshop is to bring together domain experts, technology experts and policy makers to scope how and where AI technology is being applied to the climate crisis, identify concrete opportunities for short and medium term impact, and scale up cross-sector collaboration. We hope to establish links between the people working on the climate crisis, technology experts, academics and government bodies and to shape concrete practicable proposals for development. Our main areas of focus for the day, will be: Measuring carbon emissions and air pollution Land use Urban development and city design. These will be further refined for discussions on the day, which will include a combination of plenary and breakout discussions.

About AI for Good at Element AI AI for Good is a dedicated group within Element AI, an AI software product company founded in 2016. The AI for Good team is based in Paddington and is predominantly a group of research and software engineers focused on bringing expertise in machine learning to help solve human rights and environmental problems using computer vision applications and natural language processing. The team collaborates with non-governmental organizations, international organizations and the public sector to develop reusable AI tools which they can use to scale up and enhance their work.
