One of the key issues facing climate scientists is how to best communicate their message to the public and, ultimately, influence policymakers. The morning session of our event (10:00-12:30) will focus on communicating science to the public, including talks and a discussion with a panel of distinguished science communicators. After lunch we will narrow our attention towards the climate and policy, firstly (13:00-15:30) by screening the Emmy and Academy Award nominated documentary 'Racing Extinction', directed by Oscar-winning director Louie Psihoyos. Later during the afternoon (until 18:30) we will have talks by leading scientists and policymakers. In the evening (18:30-19:30, we will have a more lighthearted workshop on science comedy and drinks.
