Coral Reefs and Climate Change: Looking Back to Plan Ahead

Saturday 6 July, 12.30 and 2.30pm

Attenborough Studio

Our rapidly changing global climate can permanently impact on the health of coral reefs around the world. Join Museum scientist Ken Johnson to discover how we use Museum collections to understand how corals have responded to climate change in the past, and what this can tell us about the future of our reefs.

Watching Ice from Space

Sunday 7 July, 12.30 and 2.30pm

Attenborough Studio

When we think of climate change, we instinctively picture melting ice caps. But how is our planet's climate really affecting the polar regions, and what does this mean for us in other parts of the world? Join Ella Gilbert from the British Antarctic Survey and find out how scientists are observing the movement and thickness of ice from the sea, air and space.
