Globally, the courts have become a crucible for climate action. Citizens are taking to the courts in larger numbers as the fight for climate and environmental justice goes legal. This is not just a western trend but has a long history in Asian and Latin American courts. This event looks at some powerful examples of climate justice through the courts in countries such as Pakistan and Brazil with leading judges and litigators, as well more familiar cases from the UK and Netherlands. Event sponsors, Clyde & Co, will also be releasing an overview of trends in climate change litigation.

Organised by GLOBE International in partnership with GRI LSE, Asian Development Bank, Client Earth, E3G and Commonwealth Law Initiative. Sponsored by Clyde & Co.
