The Trussell Trust is the largest food bank organisation in the UK, growing from 30 food banks in 2009 to over 1,200 at the end of 2019. In London, the Trussell Trust increased the number of emergency food supplies given out from under 100,000 in 2013-14 to over 160,000 in 2018-19 [1].
The London Assembly Economy Committee will tomorrow gain a deeper understanding of the extent of food insecurity in London and the associated impacts on Londoners.
