The Mayor’s Draft Housing Strategy for London was published on 6 September 2017. It sets out his vision to meet London’s housing need. But without more money from the government, and bearing in mind the recent interest rate rise, can it deliver the homes London needs.
The London Assembly Housing Committee will tomorrow examine the proposed policies and their feasibility in:
- Building homes for Londoners
- Delivering genuinely affordable homes
- Providing high quality homes and inclusive neighbourhoods
- Getting a fairer deal for private renters and leaseholders
- Tackling homelessness and helping rough sleepers.
