COVID-19 has changed the way Londoners travel around the city. Since the start of the pandemic, there’s been an increase in the number of Londoners cycling and walking.
The London Assembly found that one in seven Londoners want to leave the city as a result of COVID-19. With London’s possible population changes and a shift in how Londoners get from A to B, what’s needed to make London’s transport fit for purpose for the future?
The Transport Committee will tomorrow discuss the future of London transport post COVID-19. The guests are:
- Alex Williams, Director of City Planning, Transport for London
- Christina Calderato, Head of Transport Strategy and Planning, Transport for London
- Emma Gibson, Director, London TravelWatch
- Norman Baker, Adviser to the CEO, Campaign for Better Transport
- John Dickie, Director of Strategy and Policy, London First
The meeting will take place on Thursday, 11 February 2021 from 10am. In line with Government advice, this meeting will take place virtually.
Media and members of the public can watch the meeting live here.
