Responding to today’s verdict from the Croydon tram crash inquest, which concluded that seven passengers were accidentally killed, Labour’s London Assembly Transport Spokesperson, Elly Baker AM, said:
“My thoughts are with the families of the victims of the Croydon tram crash. The last seven weeks of the inquest will have been a very difficult and painful time.
“With today’s ruling, we must ensure that lessons are urgently learned so we never see a repeat of this tragedy which took the lives of seven Londoners and turned the lives of their loved ones upside down”.
