The technology landscape is constantly changing, and the blue light emergency services face several challenges across their work with data, information and technology.
Both the Met Police and the London Ambulance Service have already highlighted the challenges of decommissioning legacy infrastructure, and shifting to systems which are compatible.[2]
The Budget and Performance Committee will tomorrow discuss the digital transformation plans for the Met Police, the London Fire Brigade and the London Ambulance Service.
What have these services achieved so far and how much progress is being made? How can these services learn from one another, and adapt and evolve to deal with the issues they face on the frontline?
How is new technology being used by police officers, firefighters and paramedics, along with those in the back office?
The guests are:
- John Clarke, Chief Digital and Technology Officer, Met Police
- Darren Scates, Director of Technology, Met Police
- Julian Martin, Chief Information Officer, London Fire Brigade
- Daniel Elkeles, Chief Executive, London Ambulance Service
- Barry Thurston, Chief Information Officer, London Ambulance Service
The meeting will take place on Tuesday 14 June 2022, 10.00am at City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, E16 1ZE.
Media and members of the public are invited to attend
The meeting can also be viewed LIVE via webcast or on YouTube.
