Many of my constituents in Bermondsey prefer to use buses as they are far cheaper than the underground. They find it difficult to get to destinations in East London - as very few bus services from Bermondsey provide a link to destinations north of the river and none go direct from Bermondsey to Canary Wharf. Will you ask TfL to investigate the possibility of introducing the following two new routes suggested by one of my constituents (A) London Bridge- Jamaica road-Rotherhithe Tunnel-Canary Wharf and (B) London Bridge-Tower Bridge-E Smithfield-the Hwy- Lime house link Tunnel -Canary Wharf?

The long-awaited underpass linking Walthamstow Central Bus Station with Walthamstow Central overground and Victoria Line stations opened without lifts being operational. This has meant elderly and disabled travellers and those with luggage or young children and buggies having to negotiate a steep flight of 47 steps. Will the Mayor put pressure on TfL to remedy this unsatisfactory situation as a matter of urgency?

Residents of North East London, especially in Chingford and Walthamstow, have long been campaigning for the reinstatement of the Hall Farm Curve rail link to Stratford. Can the Mayor give an assurance that he will task TfL with prioritising this work to open before the 2012 Olympics?
