All questions that are not dealt with at the meeting receive written answers; In accordance with s45(4) the GLA Act 1999, written answers to questions submitted to Mayor's Question Time for written answer must be provided within 3 working days of the meeting - usually, therefore, on the Monday following a Wednesday meeting. However, colleagues and I regularly have to wait considerably longer than this for answers - frequently a month or more over the statutory deadline, which is quite unacceptable. Can you explain why this is the case, and assure me this seemingly deliberate strategy of delay will cease...
