Figures released by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs show that of the 246,326 fly-tipping incidents reported by London boroughs in 2010/11, just 781 successful prosecutions were made - representing 0.32 per cent of all incidents reported. Given your recent pledge to 'wipe [grime] from the face of London', what plans do you have to improve the prosecution rates for environmental crimes?
