  • Reference: 2012/1885
  • Question by: Jenny Jones

Given the exceptionally high number of collisions involving pedestrians and buses along Oxford Street, would you consider limiting the speed of buses along Europe's busiest shopping street to 15mph or less during the London 2012 Games?

Bow roundabout (3)

  • Reference: 2012/1884
  • Question by: Jenny Jones
  • Meeting date: 04 July 2012
The Bow Roundabout safety scheme initially had a physical divider to separate cyclists from lorries and other traffic, but I understand that this was abandoned due to the frequency with which vehicles went across it. Do you regard the cyclist space you have created as safe if it is being so frequently invaded?
