  • Reference: 2024/2944
  • Question by: Elly Baker
  • Meeting date: 10 October 2024
In December 2023 C2C introduced a new ticketing model that will align C2C fares and associated travel conditions with the easy-to-understand Transport for London (TfL) and wider pay as you go networks. Are you able to explain what discussions TfL had with C2C to support this change to the ticketing model?

In January 2024 LNER launched a Simpler Fares pilot that will run for 2 years. LNER Single Leg Pricing

  • Reference: 2024/2942
  • Question by: Elly Baker
  • Meeting date: 10 October 2024
On 29 August 2018 TfL responded to the RDG fares consultation. On single leg pricing they said, “In the urban markets, single leg pricing produces multiple benefits…In the longer distance markets, single leg pricing is also a priority for reform. In our view, it would open up competition between TOCs; widen customer choice where operators compete; and make pricing more transparent and sensitive to train loadings, helping manage demand.” Is this still TfL’s view and does it therefore support the June 2023 LNER single leg pricing changes?

Future of Micromobility

  • Reference: 2024/2941
  • Question by: Elly Baker
  • Meeting date: 10 October 2024
Londoners are continuing to raise the issue of inconsiderate e-scooter and e-bike parking with me. They tell me it is having a big impact on their ability to get around London, particularly for older and disabled people or those pushing buggies. Can you update me on the work TfL is doing with London Councils to try and resolve these problems?

London Challenge Poverty Week

  • Reference: 2024/2940
  • Question by: Marina Ahmad
  • Meeting date: 10 October 2024
The Mayor’s policies on housing and free school meals support families on a low income. As we mark London Challenge Poverty Week on the 14th to the 20th of October, is there a case for national Government to develop the temporary household support fund into a more effective anti-poverty policy?
