It has been reported the terrorist involved in the London Bridge attack Khuram Butt was employed by TfL as a customer service assistant working in both Canada Water and Westminster stations. He was employed by TfL while on a MI5 watchlist and after taking part in a Channel 4 documentary "The Jihadis Next Door". What vetting are employees on the London Underground subject to and should there be a system of enhanced checks to make sure that no Underground employees have ties to any form of extremism?
