On 25th November 2015, the Government announced that the DfT's TfL grant would be scrapped. So when you promised Londoners on 4th January 2016, in an Evening Standard article, that they "would not pay a penny more for their travel in 2020 than today", do you accept that you were fully aware that you would need to find savings that covered the scrapping of the grant as well as the cost of that promise?
