In response to a recent freedom of information request (FOI-2007-1819) TfL refused to publish any correspondence relating to the leadership of the Croydon crash investigation, claiming that disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle of Article 5 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
