On 7 January 2019 at the TfL Budget and Performance Committee, the TfL CFO Simon Kilonback said that the business plan was based “upon the modelling of various scenarios of delays to the remaining stages of up to 18 months.” The Crossrail announcement on 25 April now has the delay to the opening of the central section between Paddington and Abbey Wood as between 22 months and 28 months. In addition the frequency through the mid-section was previously anticipated to be 24 trains per hour during the peak, however the Crossrail announcement states that this has been halved to 12...

The Chancellor has suggested that the 2019 Spending Review is likely to be postponed from this summer, as a result of the delay and uncertainty around Brexit. However, this is a key process for the Mayor as it impacts around half the funding in his budget, therefore can you tell me: a. What is on your ‘wish list’ for additional funding from the upcoming Spending Review? b. How are you engaging with Government in the run up to the 2019 Spending Review? c.
