Everyday sexism (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Unmesh Desai
  • Meeting date: 16 November 2017
I have a question on gender-based hate crime. Mr Mayor, Nottinghamshire, North Yorkshire and Avon and Somerset police forces now officially recognise gender-based hate crime. Nottinghamshire pioneered this recording approach in July 2016. I drew your attention in the form of written questions to Nottinghamshire’s approach in October 2016. You said that you would get your team to monitor the situation. Sarah Newton, giving evidence on behalf of the National Police Chief Council to the Home Office Select Committee earlier this year described this move as, “really innovative” and urged other forces to pick up this good practice. Do you...

Equal Pay Day (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Leonie Cooper
  • Meeting date: 16 November 2017
I notice that you did mention that you have been doing some leading by example on this which, obviously, we were very pleased to see, including the publishing of the first GLA gender pay audit last November, though was wondering when you said: “in due course” does that mean that the updated one will be coming out before the end of this month, because obviously it is a year on, so it would be good to see what progress we have made?

Violence against women and girls on the transport network (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Keith Prince
  • Meeting date: 16 November 2017
I think the clue in exams is to answer the question. You have not answered the question which was how much will TfL save by pausing the Jubilee and Northern lines. You have just burnt off all my two minutes but nonetheless the question I would ask you is it a pause or is it a cancellation, Mr Mayor?

Glass ceiling (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Nicky Gavron
  • Meeting date: 16 November 2017
: This is on the maternity pay gap. It is on the maternity employment rate, a supplementary question. We talked about the gender pay gap and I now want to talk about the motherhood pay gap. From the moment you become a mother and enter the workplace in this country you are disadvantaged. The Trades Union Congress (TUC) has produced some national research, not London research, which shows that a woman aged 42 in full-time employment is facing a pay penalty for being a mother of 11% over the lifetime of her job. She is always going to get about...

Do you believe this scheme is a well thought out scheme?

Public Access Strategy Consultation (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Tony Devenish
  • Meeting date: 16 November 2017
I think you had legal advice - if one of my residents challenges this shameful process under a judicial review, do you have any chance of winning?

Tube Upgrades (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Keith Prince
  • Meeting date: 16 November 2017
Keith Prince AM: Thank you, Mr Mayor. I think the clue in exams is to answer the question. You have not answered the question which was how much will TfL save by pausing the Jubilee and Northern lines. You have just burnt off all my two minutes but nonetheless the question I would ask you is it a pause or is it a cancellation, Mr Mayor?

Rapid electric charging point network (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Caroline Pidgeon
  • Meeting date: 16 November 2017
Caroline Pidgeon MBE AM: Thank you very much. You have previously said to me that you hope to have 75 rapid charging points by the end of December. The numbers you have given me suggest by the end of November there will be 44. Do you think you are going to be slightly short of meeting your 75? Sadiq Khan (Mayor of London): Thank you for your question. Thank you for your work in this area as well. We will be working on more than 75. I think it is contingent on planning, there is some delay with planning. We...

LLDC and the current housing climate (Supplementary) [2]

  • Question by: Andrew Boff
  • Meeting date: 02 November 2017
Andrew Boff AM: The Local Plan says the LLDC will exceed the London Plan’s target of 1,471 housing units per annum. Does that remain your aspiration?

LLDC and the current housing climate (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Tom Copley
  • Meeting date: 02 November 2017
Tom Copley AM: Thank you, Chair. I have a question about building successful and integrated neighbourhoods. I want to ask first of all, very directly: has the LLDC formally adopted the Mayor’s target of 50% for all new homes across the Park?
