The Mayor’s 2026-27 budget – an external view
The Mayor is responsible for overseeing a budget of over £20 billion, but is this money being prioritised in the right areas?
The London Assembly Budget and Performance Committee will begin its annual scrutiny of the Mayor’s 2026-27 budget tomorrow, speaking with external experts.
The meeting will focus on three of the key areas of the Mayor’s budget – policing, housing and transport – seeking to understand how the Mayor can deliver the most for Londoners.
