
The total number of criminal offences committed in London to the end of October 2022 (967,914 total notifiable offences) is 9.4 per cent higher when compared to the previous year.
Reducing and preventing violence is a stated priority of the Mayor. This includes a focus on:
- Preventing and reducing violence affecting young people
- Making London a city in which women and girls are safer and feel safer
- Reducing reoffending by the most violent and high-risk groups
- Preventing hate crime
Tomorrow, at an all-Assembly meeting, London Assembly Members will discuss the delivery of the Mayor’s key policing and crime priorities. The guests are:
- Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London
- Sir Mark Rowley QPM, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police
Following the discussion, London Assembly Members will debate these motions.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, 1 December 2022 from 10am in the Chamber at City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, E16 1ZE.
