Health Committee
- One quarter of 5-year-old children in London have experience of tooth decay.
- 25.8 per cent of 5-year-olds in London experienced tooth decay in 2021-22 – which is higher than the English average of 23.7 per cent.
The London Assembly Health Committee will release its report into the state of dentistry and oral health in London. The report makes recommendations for the Mayor and the government.

Building Safety Regime and Remediation Progress
Fire Committee – Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 10am
Following the Grenfell Tower fire, the Government introduced changes to the building safety regime with protections for leaseholders. The Building Safety Regulator (BSR) was established to regulate Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs), with the London Fire Brigade (LFB) working alongside the BSR and taking on additional responsibilities.
The London Assembly Fire Committee will ask the London Fire Commissioner, along with representatives from the Building Safety Regulator and Greater London Authority (GLA), whether the new building safety regime is working effectively and how it is impacting LFB.

The Mayor’s Draft Police and Crime Plan 2025-2029

The Mayor, as London’s Police and Crime Commissioner, has a statutory duty under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 to publish a Police and Crime Plan (PCP) within the financial year in which he is elected, setting out his policing priorities.
The London Assembly Police and Crime Committee will question policing experts on the Mayor’s draft Plan for 2025-2029 and examine whether the Plan will keep Londoners safe.

Care Leavers Not in Employment, Education or Training

Figures show that over a third of London’s 17–21-year-old care leavers are not in employment, education or training (NEET).
The Economy, Culture and Skills Committee will speak with the John Lewis Partnership about its employment programme and the impact it has had on care leavers in London.
