Affordable housing announced for Olympic legacy sites

Olympic Park
Created on
06 September 2018

In response to the Mayor’s announcement that 3,000 new homes will be built on the remaining three legacy sites at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, with 50% of those being affordable homes, local London Assembly Member, Unmesh Desai AM, said:

“The availability of affordable housing is one of the most pressing issues for local people. I am therefore delighted to welcome this announcement of thousands of genuinely affordable new homes at the Olympic Park."

“This is another example of the Mayor’s commitment to delivering homes for all Londoners, after his predecessor’s abject failure to tackle the burgeoning housing crisis in our capital."

“It is integral that the whole local community benefits from the Olympic legacy, and this announcement is another positive step in the right direction.”
