It is really not clear how to post an IDEA on this website. 

Schools in London are not inviting parents to attend all school plays, concerts and sports days that their children are in. It is very disappointing!! They are not sending out invitations to parents and they are hardly supporting families to spend time together.

They could send an email/letter out to parents!

Parents should also be invited to help out in schools when they have some free time, and not be made to feel excluded from their children's lives.

PLEASE PUT MORE DRINKING WATER FOUNTAINS ABOUT IN LONDON. 

PLEASE MAKE HEALTHY MEAL OPTIONS COMPULSORY IN ALL CAFES AND RESTAURANTS IN LONDON BASED ON EATWELL PLATE PROPORTIONS!

THERE IS TOO LITTLE VEG OR FRUIT IN MAIN MEALS IN LONDON.

Please encourage all cafes and restaurants in London to provide at least 4 meals on their menus that contain the eatwell proportions of carbs, vitamins, protein and dairy. One plate that contains 1/3 vegetables (2-4 adult portions of vegetables), 1/3 carbs (1 adult portion - not an entire plate or 3/4 plate covered in chips, pasta or rice!), 1/4 protein or something similar.

Too many cafes and restaurants are hardly offering vegetables or fresh fruit with their meals. There should be at least 2 proper adult portions of different vegetables in every adult meal not counting potatoes or grains which count as carbs. And in my opinion one portion of fresh fruit should always be eaten at the end of a meal and should be served with any dessert.

Some fish and chips places are offering just mushy peas as vegetable options, there really need to be salads offered with all fish and chips or peas, corn and carrots. 

LONDON ZOOS ARE TOO SMALL, THE ANIMALS DESERVE MUCH MORE SPACE TO STAY IN!!

PLEASE MAKE ZOOS FIVE TIMES BIGGER THAN THEY ARE!!

Zoos in London could be made 5 times bigger and take up more of the parks they are in. There is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the parks. The animals are being kept in very small spaces, it is not fair or nice for them to be kept in such small spaces. The cages could be five times bigger AND two or three times the height they currently are.

Please people be fairer to the animals. Nature/God made these creatures, they deserve more respect and they need more space. They need to be able to run about during the day and get plenty of exercise. 

BACK FIRE EXITS ARE BLOCKED IN CHARITY SHOP BACK ROOMS IN LONDON PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!

For some reason the back rooms in charity shops are not being kept safe for volunteers and charity workers.

The fire exits at the back of charity shops are sometimes blocked by many bags of donated items ( Cats Protection charity shop Pitshanger Lane, Ealing, London)

In the BHF shop in West Ealing if a fire started in the back room there would be no way for a volunteer to get out of the building without jumping through fire. The two windows in the back of the shops have bars and would make it impossible for people to get out of the building safely.

Please ensure that ALL the back offices/rooms of charity shops and other shops have a door or window that an oversized person could exit the building by on the back wall of the building. They must not be blocked by bags of donations or have bars on the windows when that window would be the only way out of the building. 

I try to volunteer in my free time but the conditions are not really safe for me and it is just not fair when there is not even a door or window that is accessible in an emergency. 

MORE RECYCLING!! PLEASE PUT RECYCLED PAPER ABOUT FOR PRINTING AND PHOTOCOPIES!!

OFFICES, SCHOOLS, LIBRARIES COULD BE DOING FAR MORE TO HELP THE ENVIRONMENT!!

1. There is almost never the option of using recycled paper to make photocopies and print out letters etc in libraries, schools, offices etc. Please put recycled paper in ALL libraries and public offices for printers and photocopiers so everyone has the option of using it, it should help bring the price of photocopies and printing down too.

2. Please encourage schools, libraries, offices to have ONLY recycling bins in classrooms and offices and one or two bins for non-recyclables in the corridors of their buildings. More than 90% of rubbish (what is going in general rubbish bins) can be recycled.

3. Change 90% of the general bins on the streets and in the parks to recycling bins.

4. Ban the use of non-recylable materials in packaging.

5. Ban the use of two layers of packaging unless it is absolutely necessary. Eg cornflakes do not need both a bag and a box, they could just be in a bag without the box.

6. Force companies to make ALL food products visible in at least 50% of the packaging so people can see what they are buying and use less ink (it should also make the product cheaper as less is spent on printing and people ought to be able to see what they buying).

PLEASE STOP MAKING PLACES IN LONDON FEEL OR LOOK LIKE PRISONS!!

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT EVERY ROOM IN LONDON HAS AT LEAST A WINDOW OR DOOR THAT CAN BE USED AS A FIRE ESCAPE BY AN OVERSIZED PERSON. 

Too many places in London feel like prisons!! So many places nowadays have cameras all over the place, many gates and fences, bars at the windows. Why are people so paranoid and over the top?? All schools seem like prisons nowadays, many hospitals too eg the mental health wards are like prisons, even some people's sitting rooms feel like prisons with bars at the windows, it is not a pleasant experience sitting in some homes in London!! They have either painted the windows shut or put bars at the windows because people are so fearful or do not trust others. They are acting like people are thieves and bad people rather than people trying to get on with their day. 

It creates a feeling of unease and even anxiety to be in a building which is like a prison where the fire exits are blocked and it is difficult to get out to the road/pavement ( eg mental health wards, it is not fair or nice of staff to block people in these buildings from going outside whenever they need some fresh air.)

PLEASE BAN ALL BLACK/ALL DARK SCHOOL UNIFORMS in London.

Many children look like they are going to a funeral on a daily basis, it is not uplifting to wear all black uniforms/all dark uniforms. Please have all schools choose a nice colour blazer, skirts and jumpers so that the children at least can look and feel more cheerful. Many children hardly smile in London and people are always going on about mental health and how depression and anxiety are an issue. Well forcing children to wear all black is not helping, not attractive and not fair. Wearing a lot of dark colours also means that children are less visible to drivers when really they should be more visible.

School uniforms could also have a nice colour for girls to wear and a different colour for boys to wear. It is not nice that so many girls in the capital are being encouraged to look like boys and to wear lots of black and blue when we like pinks, yellows and pretty colours. 

Transport for London have told me to 'mind the gap between the train and the station' more than half a million times. When will they shut up about the bloody gap and carry out health and safety tests on the effects of repetitive noise pollution on the passengers they assault  with their constant announcements. 

This version is worse than the earlier one, to be honest. It is harder to find issues and topics. Or are there fewer of them?  

I was sent an email inviting me to comment on the proposed Budget, but when I go to the Budget comments pages, there is no means of commenting there at all.

Just a lot of comments.  

Will the mayor publicly tell us how much he is receiving as backhanders from Viridor as he wants to take cars off the roads but will allow one of their incinerators at Bedington Lane Croydon increase their burn amount by the equivalent emissions of 340,000 cars per year and up to 4000 litres of dirty oil per day releasing sulphuric acid clouds into the air. Plus how much is he getting from City airport and Biggin Hill for makimg them exempt. I bet his bank balance looks good

The Equality Act demands Equality for protected groups. It is unlawful to exclude them. But the Mayor does. His interpretation of the word 'community' excludes Age. It excludes Disability. It is interpreted as meaning 'young'. It is interpreted as meaning 'black'. Nobody else. 

Test the site, assuming you are an old and/ or isolated/ and/ or housebound Londoner searching for what notice the Mayor takes, what provision is made, what funding is provided, what attention is given, what topic headings are offered.

I’m not sure if this is feedback for the whole site or just parts, but a thing I noticed is under the Housing section of the profile page, the option includes a very common (and increasingly so due to the cost of living crisis) option: living with parents. They’re not private landlords, and I haven’t paid off my mortgage at 25 - a massively growing number of people under 35 are still living with their parents, particularly if they have properties in London like mine do. You’re missing a really key demographic definition in this.

I would like less to scroll through up front - I prefer a few broad clear categories. I didn’t notice this section at first because so much there.

A content comment - there is a section on something in January. It doesn’t say which year - I guess 2023 and not a left over from 2022 - always useful to make it crystal clear
