Your feedback on the new Talk London
A big thank you to everyone who completed our survey about the new Talk London or commented in our discussion. A few of you also attended our online user testing sessions and had the chance to explore the prototype of the new platform in more detail.
Back in August we shared our plans for the new version of Talk London. The technology that supports our online community needs an upgrade, and we’re using the opportunity to improve the platform by making it easier to use and more transparent.

We learned a lot from your feedback.
The majority of you agreed that we cover a variety of topics, in line with current affairs in the capital. Most of you found it easy to register on Talk London and take part in our surveys, but you were less sure about joining in our discussions. Looking at screenshots of discussion threads on the current and new Talk London, most of you felt it would be easier to take part on the new platform.
When it comes to recognition, many of you felt it would be most meaningful to have your idea considered by City Hall or liked by one of our policy teams. You were a lot less keen to see the introduction of member levels, so we won’t be adding this feature to the new Talk London.
You did like other new features such as the option to easily share a Talk London page and our new activity timeline. However, a few of you mentioned the different timeline stages weren’t very clear, so we are working on those.
We’re working hard to get the new version of Talk London ready by the end of this year. Keep an eye on your inbox for the latest updates and opportunities to have your say.
