UNESCO’s International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition is on Wednesday 22 August.
This year, City Hall will remember the millions who suffered due to the Transatlantic slave trade and mark the passing of the Abolition acts. We will also acknowledge its impact on generations of African and Caribbean communities here in London and across the world.
There will be inspirational keynote speakers and creative performances from African and Caribbean artists.
