The London Assembly Police and Crime Committee will tomorrow be joined by the Rt Hon Dame Elish Angiolini DBE QC, who was asked by Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe and Alison Saunders, Director of Prosecutions to carry out an independent review of how allegations of rape are investigated and prosecuted in London.
During the first part of the meeting Dame Elish will discuss the findings of her report alongside the following guests:

Assistant Commissioner Patricia Gallan, Metropolitan Police Service
Helen Bailey, Chief Operating Officer, MOPAC
The second part of the meeting will examine the Mayor’s announcement that the majority of the Met’s uniformed officers will be equipped with body worn video cameras by the end of March 2016. In total, 20,000 video cameras are due to be issued[1]. The Committee will also ask the Met about its role in preventing extremism.

The meeting will take place on Thursday 25 June from 10:00am in the Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
