Police and crime questions at City Hall

The London Assembly Police and Crime Committee will tomorrow examine the following subjects: From 10am The Committee will follow up work on its report Falling short: The Met’s healthcare of detainees in custody with questions to:

Stephen Greenhalgh, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime

Helen King, Assistant Commissioner for Territorial Policing, Metropolitan Police Service

Paul Tarbuck, Acting Head of Health Inspections at HM Inspectorate of Prisons

From approx. 11 am The Committee will question Deputy Commissioner Craig Mackey, Assistant Commissioner Helen King and Stephen Greenhalgh, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, about the following subjects:

Violent crime

Gangs and gang violence

Water Cannon

Police arrest targets

The meeting will take place on Thursday, 13 November from 10 am in The Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1). Media and members of the public are invited to attend. The meeting can also be viewed via webcast. Notes for Editors:

The Police and Crime Committee is responsible for examining the activities of the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime and investigating matters it considers to be of importance to policing and crime reduction in London.

The Police and Crime Committee is established under s32 of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.
