Unpicking the London Health Commission Report – what happens next?

Over £4 million was spent on the independently commissioned report into the future health of Londoners.

The report set out 64 recommendations, directed towards over 20 organisations and bodies[2], with well over 10 key partners responsible for taking them forward.

What are the implications of the report and which recommendations with be implemented, by whom and by when?

The London Assembly Health Committee will meet tomorrow with expert guests, who represent key partners charged with implementing the recommendations. The discussion will focus on their response to the findings and their next steps, the role of the Mayor, investment and funding in the proposed changes and what the changes will mean for Londoners.

The following guests will be questioned tomorrow:

Professor Yvonne Doyle, Director, Public Health England (London)

Dr Anne Rainsberry, Director, NHS England London

Dr Marc Rowland, Chair, London Clinical Commissioning Groups

Amanda Coyle, Assistant Director of Health and Communities, GLA

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 25 November from 10am in Committee Room 5 at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1 2AA).
