Would London cope with an EU/UK 'conscious uncoupling'?

The London Assembly’s Economy Committee will tomorrow examine ‘The Europe Report, a win-win situation’, written by Dr. Gerard Lyons, the Mayor’s Chief Economic Advisor, which sets out the possible benefits and risks to London’s economy if the UK fails to secure reform and votes to leave the EU.

The Committee will question Dr. Gerard Lyons on,

Findings from ‘The Europe Report’.

Likely economic outcomes for London and the UK over the next twenty years.

Impacts on London’s financial services if the UK leaves the EU.

Economic impacts on sectors such as construction, accommodation and catering - if restrictions are placed on EU migration.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 9 September from 3.00pm in Committee Room 3, at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
